Kenny Hanley

Position: Interior Firefighter
A firefighter in uniform, with a helmet labeled "K. Hanley, Cottlekill 23," stands against a fiery backdrop with glowing embers.

Kenny joined in May of 2024. By September of that year, he was enrolled in the Fiefighter I course and successfully completed it. This is a huge step in starting  one's journey as a volunteer firefighter. Kenny chose to be a volunteer firefighter because he wanted make a difference in the community.  Like many, he found firefighting exciting, but more importantly he I liked the idea of learning important life saving skills like first aid.

What he likes most about being a volunteer with CVFC is the great sense of teamwork and the friendships that are built during training and other events. He says it feels good to work with people who want to help others just like he does.

"Volunteering gives me a chance to challenge myself and do something that really matters, which makes it a rewarding experience." - Firefighter Kenneth Hanley
