In Memory of Robert L. Boyer: Jan. 14, 1932 - Feb. 26, 2017

It is with deep regret that the Cottekill Volunteer Fire Company announces the passing of Life Member Robert "Bob" Boyer. Bob Joined the fire company in July of 1968 and was an active firefighter through the late 70's. Bob continued to serve with the company on a social level helping out at Christmas parties, pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners and other community events through the 80's and early 90's. He also volunteered at his church and delivered food from a local food pantry. Giving back to his community began as a young man when he served his country in the U.S. Army reaching the rank of Corporal. Bob is survived by his loving wife Patricia; sons, Michael W. Boyer and his wife Gina of San Antonio, Texas, and Robert R. Boyer and his wife Karen of Cottekill, N.Y; daughter, Susan L. Herwig and her husband Edward of Kingston, N.Y; grandsons; Michael A. and his wife Brandie, Doug and his wife Brittany, and Brandon; granddaughters; Amanda, Leslie and Allison; great-grandsons, Brennen, Sebastian and Mason of Texas; and his niece, Patricia Meoli and her husband Peter.
