Bio

Ever since I was wee little tot I have been fascinated by the big red shiny things, the fire trucks. I had the whole Matchbox and Tonka truck collection of fire trucks. I even had the toy siren on my bicycle. My father joined in 1971 which gave me the opportunity to grow up in the firehouse. As I got older I would ride shotgun with him to fire calls when he was an assistant chief. When I turned sixteen I already had my application in even before I even considered applying for my learners permit. Now I'm the fire chief I've been in the position since 2000.

As chief of the company, respect for our customer and delivering the best possible service for them while maintaining a safe and professional emergency service organization is of the utmost importance to me. The shield of the fire service is to protect life and property and I am proud to serve my community with these priorities in mind. I am alos proud of the membership who allows me to lead them.

When I'm not volunteering, I work at the Ulster County 911 center as an emergency services dispatcher. I have a passion of helping people. I also dabble with photography, mostly landscape and fine art. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and travel. Most of all I enjoy walking through life side by side with my lovely wife Jenny.
